My Helping Hand Foundation Empowers Youth in Governance Through Budget Tracking
Chipata, Zambia —My Helping Hand Foundation has launched a new project called. Accountable Futures to strengthen youth participation in governance with a focus on budget tracking using a rights-based approach.
The initiative will train young people in budget literacy, equip them with advocacy skills, and create platforms for dialogue with policymakers. By doing so, the project aims to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen-driven development.
"Our goal is to ensure that young people are not just observers but active contributors in shaping policies and monitoring how public resources are used," said the Foundation's leadership during the launch.
My Helping Hand Foundation calls on government, civil society, and the media to support this effort to build a generation of informed and empowered youth who can champion good governance.
