Humanitarian Support & Community Reformation

Restoring Dignity. Reconnecting Communities. Creating Opportunities for Change.

At My Helping Hand Foundation, we believe humanitarian work is not only about providing material assistance. It is about seeing people, listening to their stories, restoring dignity and reminding them that they remain part of our communities.

Our humanitarian interventions extend to people and communities that are often overlooked, including vulnerable individuals within correctional facilities.

Support to Namuseche Correctional Facility – Chipata

As part of our commitment to community humanitarian support, My Helping Hand Foundation reached out to Namuseche Correctional Facility in Chipata, providing practical support designed to promote dignity, personal wellbeing and social connection.

In partnership with Skypee Barbershop, men at the facility were provided with haircutting and grooming services. What may appear to be a simple haircut can carry a much deeper meaning — restoring a sense of self-worth, dignity and personal care.

The women were provided with sanitary wear, addressing an essential need that directly affects their health, comfort and dignity.

Humanity Beyond the Walls

Our work is guided by a simple belief:

A person's circumstances should never make us forget their humanity.

Correctional facilities are part of our communities, and the people within them are still human beings with dignity, needs, families, hopes and the potential for change.

We therefore believe in supporting approaches that contribute to reformation, rehabilitation, reintegration and reconnection.

Our humanitarian work seeks to create moments where people feel remembered and valued, while encouraging communities to recognise that transformation is possible.

Reconnecting and Reforming Our Communities

At My Helping Hand Foundation, we believe that sustainable communities are built when we refuse to leave people behind.

Our humanitarian interventions are therefore about more than immediate relief. They are about rebuilding relationships, restoring dignity and creating pathways for people to reconnect with themselves, their families and society.

Through partnerships with businesses, volunteers, community members and other organisations, we continue to identify practical ways of responding to humanitarian needs.

The partnership with Skypee Barbershop demonstrates the power of collaboration: when businesses and community organisations use their skills and resources for social good, even a simple service can become an instrument of dignity.

Our Humanitarian Commitment

We will continue reaching communities and groups facing vulnerability, responding to immediate needs while supporting longer-term reformation, rehabilitation and social reintegration.

Because humanitarianism is not about asking whether someone deserves compassion.

It is about recognising our shared humanity.
